After graduating I taught Science and Math in Chatfield, Minn., for 6 years. My wife and I then decided to move to the San Francisco Bay Area where I worked as a chemist for 4 years. I then was recruited into the Semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley and worked as an engineer with National Semiconductor for 11 years. During that time I earned an MBA from Santa Clara University. In 1990 I joined two others and formed a company called Apex Services in San Jose providing support to the semiconductor manufacturers. In 1997 we sold this company to Compugraphics and I continued to work for them until my retirement in 2014. I find myself on the golf course a lot these days.
