David McKnight married Ruth (Schroeder) McKnight, MSU class of 1993, in 2014. David and Ruth originally met at MSU in 1990. David works as the Farmington City Administrator and Ruth works as an account executive at Flexo Impressions. They reside in Farmington, Minnesota.
