I retired as president of Washtenaw Community College (Ann Arbor, Michigan) a number of years ago, and since have had a consulting firm, Myran and Associates. My son, Steve, who is a professor at Old Dominion University, is one of my associates. My wife, Marliss, passed away in 2013; we were married for 55 years. Canadian Lakes, Michigan, is my home, but I try to go to Minnesota and my home town, Wanamingo, as often as I can.
