After graduating with a German major and math and science minors, I taught in St. James, MN for three years. Wanting to improve my spoken German, I applied to teach military defendants. The army sent me to Okinawa! I did have the opportunity, however, to see the far east. After one year I transferred to Wiesbaden, Germany where I taught for 5 years, got married, and became a father. After Germany I taught for 27 years in East Greenbush, NY, once again becoming a father. I call this son the domestic and the other the import! The older son is an MD and lives in Charlottesville, VA; the younger has a Phd in astrophysics and lives in Bern, Switzerland.
